John Sharman – Chief Executive

Responsible for the day to day running of the business, John joined Tuxedo from Alliance and Leicester where he was Commercial Director of its Prepaid Cards business. John previously spent five years at MBNA / Bank of America holding a number of senior positions in the Credit Card and Consumer Finance businesses, including 18 months managing Virgin Money’s Credit Card and Loan programmes. John’s background is in Retail having performed a number of management roles in Direct Marketing and Business Development for the likes of DSG.

 

Marcus Raithatha – Finance Director

Marcus qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 with HW Fisher (a medium-sized firm of Chartered Accountants based in London). From 1993 to 2000 he has held senior finance roles at William Levene Limited, a houseware distributor and Long Distance International Limited, a telcoms reseller. In 2000 he joined Alpha Telecom where he held the position of CFO. He was instrumental in the financial turnaround in the business which was eventually sold to Tele2 for £58m. In 2004 he was appointed CFO of Euphony Communications, a telecoms service provider operating in 8 European countries.

 

David Monty – Chief Technology Officer

David began his career at Alpha Telecom in 1997 managing their call centre then broadening his remit to manage client application development and account services. As Operations Manager for Speechnet he oversaw all utility telecom services and IVR technology. In 2002 he founded Re-Inspire, delivering innovative payment solutions and was one of the first entrants in the SMS payment and ‘micropayment’ markets. Consultancy contracts included NHS Primary Care Trust.

Stuart Wakefield – Commercial Director

Responsible for commercial and operational activities, Stuart joined Tuxedo from RBS group, where he was responsible for current account and credit card products via ‘direct to consumer’ channels.  Stuart previously worked at Alliance and Leicester, assisting to set-up and run their prepaid card business, and eleven years at MBNA / Bank of America, holding a number of senior positions within their Credit Card and Internet businesses.  During his time at MBNA, Stuart was responsible for their online activity in the UK, Ireland and Spain and he also had commercial responsibility for Financial Services Card Partnerships, the Alliance and Leicester Credit Card portfolios and MBNA Europe’s own brand card portfolios.  Stuart’s background is in Retail Banking, specialising in partnerships, affinity marketing and white labelled consumer products.
