Marcus Raithatha – Finance Director
Marcus qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 with HW Fisher (a medium-sized firm of Chartered Accountants based in London). From 1993 to 2000 he has held senior finance roles at William Levene Limited, a houseware distributor and Long Distance International Limited, a telcoms reseller. In 2000 he joined Alpha Telecom where he held the position of CFO. He was instrumental in the financial turnaround in the business which was eventually sold to Tele2 for £58m. In 2004 he was appointed CFO of Euphony Communications, a telecoms service provider operating in 8 European countries.
Colin Loubser (Co-founder) – Director of sales and marketing
Colin was previously Group Marketing Director of Alpha Telecom and responsible for prepaid products, marketing and account based customer operations (1999-2003) when the company was sold for £60m to Tele2. Colin founded Liquid Telecom in January 2004 and was the Managing Director until May 2006. Liquid Telecom achieved revenues of $50m and PAT of $2m for year ended Feb 06. Colin left Liquid Telecom to start Tuxedo and direct the consumer and business product and marketing strategies.
Steve Bradshaw - Business Development Director
In the early 1980’s Steve headed up the Middle East and African markets for Dunlop Oil & Marine before founding the ‘Offshore Supplies Company’ in 1985. This company created a sales agency network across the Middle East and Libya reaching annual sales of £60m+ and was sold in the mid 90’s with Steve moving to the Isle of Man. Consultancy roles then followed with two Japanese organizations Bridgestone and Yokohama to develop their EMEA market’s and sitting on the board of the IOM Post Office.
Steve moved to Tuxedo in June 08 from Fortis Bank where he founded and was in charge of their global ‘Internet Trading Gateway’.
Highs and lows of his career include being taken hostage for several weeks in Africa which he does not recommend unless you want to loose weight extremely quickly to being invited to speak at the UN on eSecurity and eCommerce.
Alan Stephenson-Brown – Head of Business to Business
Alan spent 10 years at card processor, Transaction Network Services (TNS) UK Ltd playing a founding role in its UK business as VP Sales and Managing Director UK before taking up the position of Global VP for Business Development. Alan has also held a number of senior positions including customer service manager (cards and self-service) and network operations manager at HSBC, and network operations manager at Halifax Building Society.
David Monty – Chief Technology Officer
David began his career at Alpha Telecom in 1997 managing their call centre then broadening his remit to manage client application development and account services. As Operations Manager for Speechnet he oversaw all utility telecom services and IVR technology. In 2002 he founded Re-Inspire, delivering innovative payment solutions and was one of the first entrants in the SMS payment and ‘micropayment’ markets. Consultancy contracts included NHS Primary Care Trust.
Eugene Eckard – Head of Customer Service
Eugene joined Alpha Telecom in 1997 managing their in-house customer service / telephony response. In 2003 he moved to Tele2 where he ran the outsourced call centre operations before heading up telemarketing, growing the customer database from zero to 200,000 until the sale to Carphone Warehouse. In 2006 he joined Skype Technologies marketing the Skype for Business offering to over 2 million Skype business SME users and also eBay sellers.
