Tuxedo Money Solutions has been announced the winner of the prestigious ‘Best Support Service’ category at the British Youth Travel Awards 2016 for its STA Travel ISIC Prepaid Mastercard® Card.
The British Youth Travel Awards recognise innovative, high quality products and programmes for youths travelling to and from the UK. The event is hosted annually by the British Educational Travel Association (BETA), the sole body representing some of the biggest and best-known businesses in the youth, student and educational travel industry. BETA describes the Best Support Service award as acknowledging the company that provides the best services and solutions to organisations or consumers in the youth, student and educational travel sector.
STA Travel ISIC is the International Student Identity Card, with over 4 million users worldwide. Launched in June 2013 and issued by IDT Financial Services Limited, the STA Travel ISIC Cashcard is a student only card, combining the benefits of a prepaid travel card with a student ID and discount card – the UK’s first single international ID and travel card all in one.
The STA ISIC Cashcard gives students one of the safest payment methods to use whilst travelling abroad. The card can be used anywhere in the world, wherever the Mastercard Acceptance Mark is displayed (over 37 million locations and 2.1 million ATMs all over the world). It is also underpinned by Tuxedo’s central solution, the eccount® platform. The system manages a full range of prepaid products and services and ultimately enables Tuxedo to deliver a flexible programme to meet the requirements of STA Travel.
Tuxedo’s STA Travel ISIC Prepaid Mastercard Card was voted the winning entry by a panel of seven industry professionals with a range of expertise in international education and travel. They were impressed with the use of creative, innovative thinking and the way the product offers a solution that supports and enhances the customer experience and journey.
